MES Testing

MES Testing to BS EN 62353:2014

All Acoustic Metrology engineers are equipped to carry out medical electrical safety testing to BS EN 62353. This is a routine electrical safety test for equipment designed to IEC 60601 and is a more comprehensive test than a standard portable appliance test (PAT test). All equipment sent to the laboratory for calibration or repair is subject to a MES test. MES testing on-site is optional however Acoustic Metrology recommends that it should be carried out to ensure patient and operator safety.

MES Testing is carried out on Audiometers, Typanometers, Hearing Instrument Analysers and ERA/ABR Instruments.
